Promotion Matriculation / Enrolment
Important: All doctoral candidates accepted by the Faculty of Behavioural and Cultural Studies after April 1, 2018, must enrol at Heidelberg University. Information on enrollment can be found on this website.
Form “Acceptance as a Doctoral Candidate”
For enrolment, the form “Acceptance as a Doctoral Candidate” is required. This form will be issued to you by the Dean’s Office (Doctoral Office) via email following approval of your admission as a doctoral candidate by the Doctoral Committee of the Faculty of Behavioural and Cultural Studies.
If you require a current “Acceptance as a doctoral candidate” form in subsequent semesters, please contact the Dean's Office (Doctoral Office) by email. Please also submit a copy of your photo ID if you have not already done so.
Exemption from enrollment
An option in accordance with §38 (5) LHG is only available to full-time employees/doctoral candidates of the University Hospital and the University with an employment relationship of ≥ 50% of a full-time equivalent (FTE); all others must enroll.
If you would like to be exempted, please submit an informal and reasoned application to the Central Doctoral Office. If you have any questions about the procedure, please contact the Central Doctoral Office exclusively. The Dean's Office (Doctoral Office) is not responsible for this.
