Doctorate Admission and language requirements

Doctoral studies at the Faculty of Behavioural and Cultural Studies are governed by the doctoral degree regulations. The admission requirements for acceptance as a doctoral candidate at the faculty can be found in § 4 of the doctoral degree regulations.

The dissertation can be written in German or English. The German Language Examination for University Admission (DSH) is not mandatory at our faculty. Whether such a language examination is necessary is decided by the doctoral candidate's supervisor.
